With her Hebridean influence steeped in Gaelic tradition, Shona MacDonald has inherited her stonemasonry skills from her father, Jon Hearach MacDonald, and branched away from memorial stones to produce unusual Celtic designs set on pebbles from beaches on the west coast of Scotland, to slate from Caithness and Ballachulish.

Memorial stone makers have increasingly found themselves being asked to diversify into work ranging from making and installing fireplaces, decorative stone panels, eye catching house signs and original gifts.

Hence, Stoned in Scotland was born.

The results of Shona's effort are there for all to see and are a must for every design conscious household.
